Richmond Curve Kitchen Remodel
This home renovation project in Minneapolis's Armatage neighborhood included both a substantial addition and a complete kitchen transformation, expanding the kitchen from 98 to 219 square feet while adding new family room and dining room spaces.
The kitchen featured white cabinetry throughout, with the island providing contrast through its rich teal base. The geometric herringbone backsplash in blue and white tones tied the color palette together while adding visual interest behind the range area. Custom storage solutions with pull-out drawers and organizational systems were integrated throughout.
The expansion opened up sight lines between the kitchen and the new living spaces, creating flow that works for family life. The large island serves as both prep space and casual dining area, with clear connections to the adjacent rooms. The project demonstrates how strategic space planning can transform a home's functionality from a constrained kitchen to a spacious hub for daily routines and entertaining.
